Carl Frederick King, Sr Obituary June 15, 1941 - December 26, 2014 Resided in Somerset Twp Jerome, MI CARL F. KING, SR. age 73 of Jerome, passed away on Friday, December 26, 2014 at his home. He was born on June 15, 1941, in Sunfield, Michigan to Marion G. and Bertha A. (Eastman) King. He married Shirley B. LaCoe on June 25, 1960, in Cement City, Michigan, and she survives. Carl lived his early life in the Cement City-Jerome area, then in Harrison for 20 years and then moving back to Jerome five years ago. He attended Cement City School. Carl was formerly employed at Ford Motor Company in Brooklyn and then at the Saline plant for 30 years, retiring in 1993. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, buggy riding and being with his children and grandchildren. Surviving besides his wife Shirley are one son; Carl F. (Alisa) King, Jr. of Manchester, two daughters; Kimberley Osborn of Adrian, Cathryn Donnelly of Barney, Georgia, ten grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, five brothers; Tom (Arlene) King of Jerome, Lee (Pat) King of Jerome, Ted (Linda) King of Somerset, Dwight (Deborah) King of Concord, Roger (Doris) King of Jackson, two sister; Rose (Jim) Sallows of Jerome, Joyce (Gerald) Manchester of Vineyard Lake, two sisters-in law; Gesila King of Harrison, Jayne King of Adrian, many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son; William Lee King, three brothers; Merritt King, Russell King, John King, three sisters; Marie Rowe, Laura Schaaf and Betty (Wagner) Iveson. Cremation will take place. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 3, 2015, at the Brown-Van Hemert Funeral Home in Addison, with Pastor David Luke officiating. Burial will take place in Aldrich Cemetery, Somerset Township, Hillsdale County, Michigan. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society
